SCIENCE AT ViA
The following goal is defined at the Strategy of ViA: Excellent, interdisciplinary basic and applied research addressing societal issues in international and regional contexts.
The Strategy of ViA includes research missions defined by the European University Alliance E3UDRES2:
- health, well-being and social inclusion in regions;
- digitalization and deep tech technologies;
- sustainable economy and innovation for regions;
- creative industries for regional identity.
The E3UDRES2 alliance was established in 2020 by VIA and five regionally based higher education institutions in five European Union countries, and in 2022 three more partners joined it. The E3UDRES2 network aims to proactively promote regional development through excellent and people-centred education, applied research activities, and participation in innovation, working with a wide range of stakeholders.
